Revised TACCT
The Tool for Assessing Cultural Competence Training (TACCT) was developed by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and designed to be both a needs assessment and a curriculum assessment of the identified knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to cultural competency training. Additionally, it can be used to map cultural competence across the curriculum. The original TACCT (2005) contained 67 items and five domains and is described in detail in the original publication of the ASCO Guidelines for Culturally Competent Eye and Vision Care. The revised version (2007) can be applied to different disciplines of health care education. It includes 42 items categorized into the following updated domains (Lie D, et. al. 2009):
